At the same time, it is currently unknown how successful the first FP-7 strike was. The WSJ also notes that the limited production capacity of the Ukrainian defense industry could make it difficult to manufacture such missiles in large quantities. Therefore, the missile's first use may have had more symbolic than military significance.

"A homemade ballistic missile, developed in record time amid shelling, was deployed on the battlefield," said Iryna Terekh, CEO of Fire Point.

Earlier, Volodymyr Zelenskyy demonstrated the first combat use of Ukraine's FP-7 tactical ballistic missile.

The missile's stated range is up to 200 km, its maximum speed is 1,500 m/s, and its deviation is 14 meters. Its payload is 150 kg while its maximum flight duration is 250 seconds.

Fire Point also developed the FP-9 missile. Its stated range is up to 855 km, and its payload is 800 kg. It is designed to strike targets deep behind enemy lines.
