Ukraine's Defense Forces have struck a russian missile carrier, a Karakurt-class ship armed with Kalibr cruise missiles. A patrol boat and an additional tanker from russia's shadow oil fleet were also hit, along with infrastructure at the port of Primorsk.
This was reported on Telegram by Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

"Another russian Kalibr carrier is out of action. Major General Yevhenii Khmara reported successful strikes on facilities at the port of Primorsk. This was a joint operation by the Security Service of Ukraine, Unmanned Systems Forces, Special Operations Forces, the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine, and the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine," the statement reads.

The President added that a Karakurt-class missile ship, a patrol boat, and another tanker from russia's shadow fleet were hit. Significant damage to oil port infrastructure was also reported.
"Each such result limits russia's war potential," Zelenskyy wrote, adding that he approved additional "fully justified responses" by the SSU to russian strikes on Ukrainian cities and villages.
According to the Special Operations Forces, the attack took place on the night of May 3. Deep-strike units operated jointly with the SSU, HUR, Unmanned Systems Forces, and the State Border Guard Service. The targets were located approximately 1,000 km from Ukraine's northern border.

The Karakurt-class missile ship carried eight Kalibr cruise missiles with a range of up to 2,000 km. The 67-meter vessel was also equipped with the naval version of the Pantsir-M.
Designed for operations in coastal waters and open seas, Karakurt-class ships are typically used to protect infrastructure and oil terminals from drone attacks.
The struck oil terminal at Primorsk, operated by Transneft, is the largest on the Baltic Sea and a key export hub for russian oil transported via the shadow fleet.
The Special Operations Forces emphasized that strikes on russia's maritime and oil infrastructure reduce its economic and logistical capacity to wage war and limit its ability to bypass international sanctions.
Earlier, Defense Express reported that Ukraine's Defense Forces struck two russian shadow fleet tankers near the port of Novorossiysk.
