This is stated in a communiqué from the U.S. Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA).
The State Department has endorsed the decision, and the DSCA has authorized the sale and notified Congress. The move follows Ukraine's request for goods and services required to maintain the Patriot system, including components needed to upgrade M901 launchers to the M903 standard. The $105 million procurement figure is a preliminary upper-limit estimate.

"This proposed sale will support the foreign policy and national security objectives of the United States by improving the security of a partner nation that is a force for political stability and economic progress in Europe," the communiqué says.

"The principal contractors will be RTX Corporation (Arlington, VA) and Lockheed Martin (Bethesda, MD)," the document adds.
According to the statement, implementing the sale will require the deployment of approximately five U.S. government personnel and 15 representatives from U.S. companies to U.S. European Command for up to one month to support training and periodic consultations.
It is also noted that "there will be no adverse impact on U.S. defense readiness as a result of this proposed sale."
