On October 3 and overnight into October 4, Ukrainian forces struck russian Buk-M3 surface-to-air missile system, a facility used to operate attack drones, and several other military targets, Ukraine's General Staff reported.
The Buk-M3 system was hit near Kuroshany in Ukraine's Zaporizhzhia region. The strike targeted one of russia's air defense assets, potentially reducing its ability to protect russian forces and other military infrastructure in the area.

Near Donetsk, Ukrainian forces struck a site used for the storage, preparation, and launch of russian attack UAVs. The General Staff identified such facilities as priority targets because their destruction is intended to reduce russia's ability to conduct drone strikes against Ukrainian targets and civilians.
The Ukrainian military also reported a strike on russian electronic warfare station near Klimovo in russia's Bryansk region. The system was among several types of support infrastructure targeted during the strikes.
Telecommunications nodes operated by russian units were hit near Hirnyk, Yasynuvata, and Donetsk. Such facilities support communications between military units and can be important for coordinating operations and maintaining command links.
Ukrainian forces also struck russian repair units near Vesela Tarasivka and Lysychansk. These facilities support the maintenance and restoration of military equipment, making them part of the logistics infrastructure sustaining russian operations.
