The Armed Forces of Ukraine have struck the Stavrolen plant, a major producer of polymers for russia's defense sector

Ukrainian forces have carried out a coordinated strike targeting russian military-industrial infrastructure, hitting the Stavrolen petrochemical plant in Stavropol region and an ammunition depot in the temporarily occupied settlement of Novyi Svit, Donetsk region. The operation, confirmed by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on November 12, aimed to reduce the enemy's capacity to produce materials essential for its war machine.

According to the General Staff, the Stavrolen plant operates a full production cycle for processing hydrocarbon feedstock, producing polymers used in composite materials, structural components, seals, and insulation for various russian military systems.

The facility also reportedly manufactures components for unmanned aerial vehicles, a key element of russia's growing reliance on drones in its ongoing invasion.

Reports from local sources indicate multiple explosions and a large fire in the vicinity of the targeted facility. While official assessments of the damage are ongoing, the attack is believed to have disrupted critical production lines tied to russia's defense sector.

In addition to the strike on the Stavropol plant, Ukrainian forces successfully hit an ammunition depot in Novyi Svit, Donetsk region. The explosions that followed were visible from a distance, indicating significant secondary detonations. The extent of the losses inflicted on russian ammunition stockpiles is currently being verified.

"Ukrainian forces continue taking all necessary measures to undermine the military-economic potential of the russian occupiers and force russia to end its armed aggression against Ukraine," the General Staff stated.

As Defense Express previously reported, during the night of November 10, Ukraine's Special Operations Forces successfully struck the Hvardiyska oil depot located in the settlement of Karierne, Sakskyi district, in the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea. The operation was officially confirmed by the SOF, who reported precise hits on a pumping station within the oil facility.
