Alongside the Nebo-SVU radar, several drone command posts were also hit across occupied regions

Ukrainian forces have struck a high-value russian air defense asset as part of ongoing efforts to degrade the enemy's integrated air defense system. According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the 1L119 Nebo-SVU radar system was hit near the temporarily occupied village of Lymarivka in Luhansk region on January 29.

The Nebo-SVU is a long-range radar designed to detect aerodynamic and ballistic targets, including aircraft and cruise missiles, at significant distances. The cost of a single system is valued at approximately $100 million, making it one of the most expensive and critical components of russia's air defense architecture.

The strike on the radar was carried out as part of a broader operation aimed at reducing the effectiveness of russian air defense and command-and-control capabilities.

By degrading early warning and target acquisition systems, Ukrainian forces seek to create more favorable conditions for follow-on strikes and aerial operations.

In addition to the radar, Ukrainian forces successfully hit several russian unmanned aerial vehicle control points. These were located near the temporarily occupied settlements of Solodke, Rivnopillia, and Novohryhorivka in Zaporizhzhia region, as well as another control site near Pidstepne in the temporarily occupied part of Kherson region.

Targeting UAV command posts directly affects russia's ability to conduct reconnaissance and strike operations using drones, which have become a key element of russian battlefield tactics. Disrupting these nodes reduces situational awareness and limits the coordination of drone attacks along multiple sectors of the front.

As part of the same operation, Ukrainian forces also struck an ammunition depot near the temporarily occupied town of Vasylivka in Zaporizhzhia region. The strike was intended to undermine the enemy's offensive potential by limiting the availability of munitions for frontline units.

The General Staff confirmed that hits on all designated targets were recorded, while the scale of russian losses is still being assessed.
