Ukraine's Air Force has released updated information on russia's missile and drone attacks carried out on July 24, detailing the results of the country's air defense operations.
Russian forces launched three Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles toward Kyiv region at around 11:30 a.m. from the northern direction. Ukrainian air defense units intercepted one of the incoming missiles, while two others struck targets in the Bucha district of Kyiv region.

Roughly 15 minutes later, russia launched two P-800 Oniks anti-ship missiles from temporarily occupied Crimea toward Odesa region. Despite the missiles' high speed and challenging flight profile, Ukrainian forces prevented them from reaching their intended targets through active countermeasures, although the Air Force did not specify whether the missiles were intercepted or otherwise diverted.
The attacks formed part of a broader wave of aerial assaults throughout the day. Between 7:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Ukrainian military radar detected more than 90 russian strike drones, with over one-third identified as jet-powered unmanned aerial vehicles.
By 4:30 p.m., Ukrainian air defenses had shot down or electronically suppressed 81 enemy drones, demonstrating the effectiveness of the country's layered air defense network against large-scale UAV attacks. Electronic warfare systems continue to play a crucial role alongside kinetic interceptors in neutralizing russian aerial threats.
