​UK Ministry of Defence: UK Airpower Holds the Gulf Line While Planners Target Post-Conflict Hormuz Security

British Typhoon and F-35 jets alongside Wildcat helicopters continued defensive patrols over, while UK planners deployed to US CENTCOM to prepare options for securing the Strait of Hormuz, backed by new air defense systems in Bahrain and Kuwait

UK Typhoon and F-35 jets, together with Wildcat helicopters, have continued their defensive missions over the weekend, including over Cyprus, Bahrain, Qatar, and the UAE, according to the UK Ministry of Defence.

Additional UK military planners have deployed to US CENTCOM to explore the options for making the Strait of Hormuz accessible and safe once hostilities have ceased.

Additional UK air defense support to Gulf nations is now active to help defend its partners. This includes the Lightweight Multirole Launcher in Bahrain, and the Rapid Sentry and ORCUS systems in Kuwait.

As Defense Express previously reported, Cyprus and Jordan British fast jets, supported by Voyager refuelling aircraft and Royal Navy helicopters, continue defensive operations across Cyprus and Jordan to protect UK forces and support allied security.
