Assault personnel of the 128th Independent Mountain Assault Zakarpattya Brigade has entered into combat with a RF military scout unit. As a result, some of the Russian scouts have been killed, while the others had had to retreat.
Ukrainian soldiers found personal items and what has remained of the weapons and ammunition left behind on the scene by enemy personnel. The items found were Russian military ranks chevrons and insignia, Sberbank cards, soldier IDs, a shoulder sticker reading “Kurbanov A.B.” as well as documents containing soldier names and the numbers of the weapons assigned to them. Some of the items have been found damaged by fire in combat.

A majority of the names featured in the documents, like Kurbanov, Malachurbanov, Sharabudanov, Tuglanov, Alsurpanov, Bekuzarov, or Magomedov, reveal their owners were ethic Chechens.
Nine of them were fighting with AKS rifles (a variant of the Kalashnikov rifle optimized for use in air assault operations), and one with a Kalashnov AKM assault rifle (where ‘M’ stands for “modernized”).
