KNDS Deutschland and TYTAN Technologies have signed a memorandum to collaborate on creating a ground-based UAV defense system.
The agreement also includes the joint development of a new European standard for mobile UAV launchers, as well as further advancement of drone defense technologies, focusing on basic protection and frontline air defense, according to Hartpunkt.

The companies already have experience working together, which has laid the foundation for these further agreements. This involves integrating the Interceptor-S anti-aircraft drone into the Boxer RCT30 armored personnel carrier, with the interceptor specifically designed for this vehicle.
The Interceptor-S was first announced in May last year. It can destroy targets at a range of up to 5,000 meters and an altitude of up to 2,000 meters, with a speed of 200-300 km/h. The drone's total weight is 3 kg, with the warhead accounting for 1 kg. The cost of the drone is quite affordable, falling within the three-digit euro range.

TYTAN's Interceptor anti-aircraft drones, tested in Ukraine in a different version, are now reportedly ready for mass production. Therefore, it is possible that the Interceptor S may also end up in Ukraine as an option for one of the Western armored vehicles.
TYTAN is actively working to expand cooperation with other companies. For instance, a memorandum of understanding was previously signed with Hensoldt, which is promising news for Interceptor drones that have been shooting down Shahed drones in Ukraine.
From the Defense Express side, we urges you to join a fundraising for what is already working: One United Fundraiser: Fundraising by the Serhiy Prytula Charity Foundation for interceptor drones.
