That is according to a latest the U.K. Defense Ministry’s Defense Intelligence update on the situation in Ukraine.
As U.K. Defense Intelligence update reads, fighting in the area "intensified on the east bank from 27 June 2023. The defending Russian force includes elements of Russia’s 7th Guards Air Assault Division, part of the Dnipro Group of Forces (DGF)."

It should be noted, that such an actions could be intended to create bridgehead on the east bank of the Dnipro River to advance in Crimea direction.
As U.K. Defense Intelligence notes, "in recent weeks, Russia has highly likely reallocated elements of DGF defending the bank of the Dnipro to reinforce the Zaporizhzhia sector." Despite the fact, the mission to seas the bridgehead would be difficult to fulfill amid the state of the surface nearby.
"Combat around the bridge head is almost certainly complicated by the flooding, destruction and residual mud from the collapse of the Kakhovka Dam on 06 June 2023," the update estimates.
