Ukrainian Prosecutor General Andriy Kostin said that law enforcement officers have received the first confirmation that russia has already used North Korean missiles in the war against Ukraine

The Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine has announced preliminary evidence suggesting the use of North Korean-made missiles by russian forces in the war. This marks a potentially significant escalation in the war, given North Korea’s pariah status and international sanctions for its nuclear program.

According to Prosecutor General Andriy Kostin, fragments recovered from a missile attack on Kharkiv on January 2 underwent scientific and technical analysis, revealing its origin as a short-range missile developed by North Korea. While a comprehensive expert commission is still pending for definitive confirmation, military experts within the PGO’s interdepartmental working group concur with the preliminary findings.

“As for North Korea, we recently received the first evidence of the use of missiles manufactured in this country by the russian army. The results of a preliminary scientific and technical examination confirm that the missile launched on January 2 against the central part of Kharkiv is a short-range missile developed by North Korea,” the official said.
