Lithuania has repaired the first Leopard 2 combat tanks, for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which were damaged during the hostilities.
The press service of the Lithuanian Ministry of National Defense reported on December 15.

"The first Leopard 2 tanks repaired in Lithuania are gearing up for their journey to Ukraine! Having arrived from the frontlines, these tanks are now ready to make an impactful return," The Lithuanian Ministry of Defense reported this on Twitter (X).
On Friday, at the training ground of the Lithuanian army, repaired tanks were demonstrated, which will soon return to the battlefield in Ukraine.
"Lithuania consistently supports Ukraine's struggle for independence and not only sends military aid but also assists in repairing Leopard 2 tanks, that are very much needed on the battlefield," said Minister of National Defense Arvydas Anušauskas during a visit to the Gaižiūnai training ground of the Lithuanian army.
Tanks are being repaired at the Lithuania Defense Services enterprise.
Lithuania has already organized the repair and return to Ukraine of the PzH 2000 Self-Propelled Howitzer, which were transferred to Ukraine and participated in combat actions.
The Ukrainian military recently received two launchers for NASAMS air defense systems from Lithuania.
