On the night of July 21, the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine successfully targeted two helicopters – russian Mi-28 and Ka-226 – in Moscow region. Following another Ukrainian reconnaissance operation on July 24, a Mi-8 helicopter was destroyed in Samara, according to the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine.
According to a statement, on July 21 at approximately 3:00 am, sabotage activities by the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine resulted in damage to the Mi-28 and Ka-226 helicopters at the National Helicopter Building Center Mil and Kamov, located in Tomilino, Moscow region.

On July 24, further sabotage led to the destruction of the Mi-8 helicopter at the Kryazh airfield, a facility of the Ministry of Defense of the russian federation in Samara.
Suspilne sources elaborate that the National Helicopter Building Center Mil and Kamov is an aviation enterprise specializing in the development, production and repair of the Mi and Ka series helicopters and other rotary-wing aircraft. The enterprise comprises two design bureaus, OKB Mil and OKB Kamov, an experimental production facility, and an experimental research and testing center.
The Defense Intelligence of Ukraine indicate that information about fires following explosions at the enterprise has circulated widely in Moscow region. “However, the russian authorities, as usual, are concealing the facts of their own negligence from the population,” reads the report.
