In August, russia sustained approximately 36,810 casualties among soldiers in the war against Ukraine, according to Commander of Ukrainian Land Forces Oleksandr Pavliuk. Additionally, the Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed 6,383 pieces of enemy weaponry and military equipment.
"In August 2024, the enemy's losses totaled around 36,810 personnel," the statement read.

Pavliuk detailed the types and quantities of weapons and military equipment destroyed by Ukrainian Defense Forces units, including:
- 193 tanks;
- 557 armored combat vehicles;
- 1517 artillery systems;
- 44 MLRS;
- 33 air defense systems;
- 2065 units of motor vehicles;
- 278 units of special equipment.
Additionally, Ukraine's defenders shot down 5 airplanes and 2 helicopters. They also destroyed 1,539 operational and tactical level drones (OTL drones) and 150 enemy missiles.
