russians are unable to defend the Crimean bridge from the sea against a potential attack due to a lack of ships, so they are trying to use old barges for protection. The spokesperson of the South Operational Command Dmytro Pletenchuk told about this on the air of the national telethon.
"The marine component that should bear part of the safety factor for this bridge from the water, is absent. Earlier we discussed the number of ships guarding it. There were 10 to 14 ships there, and then for some reason they suddenly disappeared. Not there is no longer any danger, but because they cannot be there," he said.

According to Pletenchuk, russians still consider it necessary to protect the bridge, so they invent engineering constructions in the form of barges placed along it. In addition, they compensate for the lack of ships with the air component, because it is the only one that still works for them.
Earlier Defense Express reported that new icebreaker had showcased russia’s advanced naval technology, allegedly suitable for the Kalibr missiles.
