On February 11, 2025, at 14:09, russian Su-24MR reconnaissance aircraft violated Polish airspace over the eastern part of the Gulf of Gdańsk. The aircraft, originating from Kaliningrad region, penetrated Polish airspace to a depth of 6.5 km, remaining within it for 1 minute and 12 seconds.
The incursion was detected and tracked by the Polish Armed Forces’ radar systems. Following intervention from russian navigator, the aircraft adjusted its course and exited Polish airspace. Polish authorities engaged with their russian counterparts, who acknowledged the violation and attributed it to a malfunction in the Su-24MR’s navigation system.
