Ukrainian forces repelled attacks near Hryshyne and Myrnohrad during the supposed Easter pause in fighting

russian forces violated a declared Easter ceasefire in the east of Ukraine, carrying out a series of attacks against Ukrainian positions in the areas of Hryshyne and Myrnohrad, according to statements from Ukraine's 7th Corps.

Between 16:00 on April 11 and 10:00 on April 12, russian troops conducted strikes using FPV drones and artillery in the vicinity of Hryshyne. These attacks targeted Ukrainian defensive positions despite the nominal silence regime, indicating a continuation of active combat operations under the guise of a temporary truce.

In addition to indirect fire and drone strikes, russian forces reportedly attempted to advance toward the settlement using small infantry groups.

Heightened enemy activity was also observed near Myrnohrad, suggesting a broader pattern of localized pressure across this sector. While details remain limited, the simultaneous engagement in multiple nearby areas points to a coordinated effort to maintain tactical momentum.

Ukrainian defenders responded to the attacks, destroying russian infantry elements and equipment involved in the assaults. The ability to repel these advances highlights the readiness of Ukrainian units to react swiftly, even under conditions where a ceasefire is ostensibly in place.

Despite the violations, Ukraine's Air Assault Forces stated that they continue to adhere to the defined format of the "silence regime" while closely monitoring russian actions within their area of responsibility.
