On the night of May 4, 2023, russia attacked Ukraine from the northern direction (Bryansk region) and from the south (the eastern coast of the Sea of Azov) using the Shahed-136/131 drones. 24 aircraft were launched.
The Ukrainian Air Force along with the Ukrainian Air Defence Forces destroyed 18 Shahed-136/131 drones and 1 unmanned reconnaissance aerial vehicle out of 24 aircraft.

The combat operation took place in the northern, central, and southern regions of Ukraine. Anti-aircraft missile systems, aviation, and mobile strike groups were deployed in the operational areas of Air Command South and Air Command Center.
All of the air targets over Kyiv were destroyed. 15 Shahed-136/131 drones attacked Odesa, 12 out of them were demolished, 3 drones hit student dormitories of one of the educational institutions in Odesa.
