May 20. On May 20, Russian troops shelled four communities in Sumy region close to the border with Russia, where a total of 56 explosions were reported.

May 20. Russian troops have struck the Dnipropetrovsk region’s city of Nikopol and Chervonohryhorivka community with heavy artillery.
The relevant statement was made by Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council Head Mykola Lukashuk on Telegram.
“The Nikopol district again came under enemy fire. Russian occupiers shelled Nikopol and the Chervonohryhorivka community with heavy artillery, having fired over 20 projectiles,” the report states.
A woman, 46, was injured. She is in stable condition and will receive outpatient treatment.
According to Lukashuk, two 5-storey apartment blocks were seriously damaged in Nikopol, as well as about 15 detached houses, seven household buildings, fences, a dozen of photovoltaic panels, power grids and gas pipelines.
About 1,000 household consumers were left without electricity. Repair works are underway.

"As of May 18, 2023, 70 criminal cases were opened over the facts of sexual violence committed by the Russian military," the press service of the National Police of Ukraine informs.
As noted, since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the National Police investigators have opened 77,298 cases over crimes committed by service members of the armed forces of the Russian Federation and their accomplices in the territory of Ukraine.

May 19. G7 leaders adopted a statement on Ukraine at the Hiroshima summit, supporting the IAEA's efforts to resolve the situation around the Zaporizhzhia NPP and calling Russia's actions to militarize the nuclear plant "irresponsible".
“We express our gravest concern over Russia’s grossly irresponsible seizure and militarization of the Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP). G7 leaders reaffirmed support for the IAEA Director General’s “Seven Indispensable Pillars of Nuclear Safety and Nuclear Security" and highlighted the importance of ensuring and promoting the safety and security of nuclear facilities under any circumstances. In this context, the leaders highlighted the G7’s contribution to the IAEA’s efforts in Ukraine for this purpose and called on others to provide support.
May 19. Russian invaders launched a drone attack on Pokrovsk, shelled the Kurakhove community seven times, and opened fire on Ukrainsk with the Smerch multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS).

May 18. As a result of Russia’s missile attack on the village of Tsyrkuny, Kharkiv region, two residential buildings were completely destroyed, many private houses and farm buildings were damaged.

May 17. The number of people killed by Russian shelling of a village in Ukraine's Kherson region has increased to three, including a five-year-old boy.
The Ukrainian Prosecutor General's Office reported this on Facebook.

May 3. The State Bureau of Investigation is running almost 1,500 criminal proceedings into crimes against national security.
The SBI reported this on Telegram.
It is noted that the Bureau focuses on exposing and bringing to justice traitors, collaborators, and saboteurs, as well as investigating Russian war crimes, searching for Russian assets to be transferred to Ukraine’s ownership, locating enemy ammunition depots, etc.
Since the full-scale Russian invasion, the SBI has investigated 1,487 criminal cases into crimes against the foundations of national security.
Among them, there are 1,177 cases of treason (Article 111 of the Criminal Code), 226 cases of aiding and abetting the enemy (Article 111-1), and 20 targeting Russian accomplices (Article 111-2).
As a result of the inquiries, 666 persons were notified of suspicion, 385 were declared wanted, and 1,375 persons are being investigated for involvement in treason and aiding the enemy.
366 indictments have already been sent to the court under these articles.
The largest number of criminal proceedings was opened in Luhansk, Zaporizhia, Kherson, Donetsk, and Kharkiv regions.
Among the recent high-profile cases targeting traitors is that of a former official with the Navy HQ, who is currently fighting against Ukraine and that of an ex-law enforcement officer who provides transportation services to Russian forces. The SBI also completed a pre-trial investigation into two law enforcers who joined the so-called "Berdyansk militia" and pressed charges against a law enforcement officer from Henichesk, who collects fines from Kherson residents into the coffers of the Russian invaders.
May 2. Seven residential buildings and an outbuilding were damaged as a result of shelling in the village of Hirsk Snovsk territorial community in Chernihiv region.
The Head of the Koriukivka Regional Military Administration Ivan Vashchenko said this on Facebook.

May 2. Russian troops in the morning fired at border settlements in Kharkiv region, one person was wounded.
The Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Oleh Syniehubov said this on Telegram.
"This morning, the Russian occupiers again fired at the border settlements of the region. Unfortunately, civilians are suffering. The village of Petropavlivka in Kupiansk district came under enemy fire. According to preliminary data, a 73-year-old woman sustained a shrapnel wound," Syniehubov said.

Yurii Malashko, head of the Zaporizhzhia regional military administration, said this in a post on Telegram
"Over the past day, the enemy launched 56 attacks on 15 settlements. Huliaipole and Orikhiv were under airstrikes again. Some 51 artillery strikes and three UAV attacks were launched on front-line villages," the report said.
Four people were injured in Huliaipole, including two elderly women born in 1938 and 1942, a man born in 1972 and a woman born in 1973. The victims received all the necessary assistance.

May 1. Twenty-five civilians, including three children, have been injured in Russia’s overnight missile attack on the Dnipropetrovsk region.
The relevant statement was made by Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration Head Serhii Lysak on Telegram.
“The enemy attacked the region with missiles. Seven of them were shot down by the East Air Command. But, some of them hit the targets. The Pavlohrad district was affected.
