The Commander of the Tavria Operational and Strategic Group of Troops, General Oleksandr Tarnavskyi wrote on his official Telegram channel.
"Marinka direction. The containment of the enemy in the areas of Novomykhailivka and Krasnohorivka is ongoing - 11 attacks repelled. Near Marinka, the enemy is amassing forces for further assaults. Informational provocations continue, falsely claiming the complete capture of the city. The defense of Marinka continues." the Commander said.

In early December, UK Defence Intelligence reported that russian troops were gradually advancing through the ruins of Marinka, a town in the Donetsk region.
Earlier, the spokesman for the Tavria Defense Forces, Oleksandr Shtupun, reported that 90% of the combat actions were concentrated in the Avdiivka and Marinka areas.
