The russian federation has once again copied someone else's idea and created mobile fire groups to repel attacks by long-range kamikaze drones in the rear as well as eliminate the threat of UAVs in the frontline area.
russian media reported this, citing sources in the Ministry of Defense of the russian federation, pointing out that such groups are currently being created as part of the combined arms armies, as well as in the air defense and air forces. They will be armed with ZU-23-2 anti-aircraft autocannons set on trucks and large-caliber machine guns on pickup trucks.

Obviously, we should also expect the copying of all the other features that have already been developed in the Defense Forces of Ukraine with the use of searchlights, copying the control system of such units based on the transmission of information about targets from the general radar surveillance system, etc.
The russian federation also announced that smoke generators would be used by such groups to cover the object with a smoke screen. This method of defense is actively practiced by the russian federation to camouflage its military facilities, such as the Kerch Bridge or bays in temporarily occupied Sevastopol.
For this purpose, russian NBC protection troops have TDA-M and TDA-3 smoke vehicles. However, their use and effectiveness in covering objects depend on weather conditions, primarily wind. And, of course, the number of vehicles that are allocated to the task.
At the same time, the decision of the Ministry of Defense of the russian federation was quite expected in condition of methodical destruction of oil refineries at a depth of up to 1000 kilometers. The fact that the mobile groups will be equipped with ZU-23-2 autocannon as well as large-caliber machine guns only shows a significant lack of such specialized and much more effective for this task anti-aircraft guns.
Including all this, russia is trying to avoid mentioning the 2C38 Derivation-PVO project. However, the use of much simpler anti-aircraft systems and machine guns indicates not only a lack of Pantsir SAM systems, but also of the Shilka ZSU-23-4 systems, which were quite common during Soviet era.
Anyway, the task of covering the territory of the terrorist state even with such mobile groups will be quite a difficult and large-scale task for russians. In this case, the vast territory of the state plays against the russians, especially given the variety of targets under threat. It will also divert certain occupiers` resources that are now forced to perform such tasks.
