These grenade launchers were delivered to the Ukrainian Armed Forces before the russian full-scale invasion, yet these weapons are still being used by the soldiers, with a specific task in mind

Video showing Ukrainian soldiers learning how to fire Polish RPG-76 Komar disposable anti-tank grenades has appeared online recently. Polish military media Defence24 notes that it's difficult to establish whether the footage was filmed in the latest weeks or older. However, it might be an indication this weapon is still used by the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

RPG-76 Komar's were supplied in large batches in the weeks before and after the start of the russian aggressive campaign in February 2022. Although it would be logical to assume the stocks should have run out, the appearance of the video now testifies otherwise.

The authors point out that the Polish grenade was popular among Ukrainian soldiers. Its weight is only 2.1 kg (4.6 lb) and it's portable, so it was easy to carry around up to three launchers on your own.

The 68 mm caliber shaped charge could penetrate up to 250-300 mm of enemy armor which guarantees the destruction of any type of russian APCs and IFVs, an accurate shot would put out a tank as well if it gets hit from behind.

On the downside, the RPG-76 Komar has a short effective range: 150 meters against moving targets or 250 m against stationary ones.

Poland mass-produced RPG-76 Komar in 1980s – 1990s at a plant in Niewiadow until the Ministry of Defense decided to decommission the weapon due to unsatisfactory performance, especially in terms of precision. But it returned to service in the 2000s when Poland was preparing its military contingent to deployment in Afghanistan and Iraq.

On the part of Defense Express, we remind of a video that was released back in March 2022 by Ukrainian volunteers with instructions on how to use the RPG-76 Komar. Surprisingly, it might still be relevant in Ukrainian conditions as long as some of these pretty simple-designed anti-armor grenades are still available to the Ukrainian military.
