This was stated by the head of Ukraine’s Center for Countering Disinformation, Andriy Kovalenko on the air of the national telethon.
According to Kovalenko, these troops have not yet taken part in the war because they are engineer troops, but they will soon.

"These North Korean soldiers will wear russian uniforms, have russian documents, will be mixed with Kalmyks and Buryats, so it is hard to prove that they are DPRK military. russians are counting on this," Kovalenko emphasized.
"At least we are aware of such plans of the enemy to do so, first of all in the Donetsk sector," he clarified.
Kovalenko noted that after an attempt to engage them in the Donetsk sector, they will be engaged in other areas.
"The DPRK's 10-12 thousand soldiers in one area will help withdraw russians from that area and deploy them to the east, in particular to Kharkiv region. Therefore, the threat from the DPRK military should not be underestimated," he added.
Earlier Defense Express reported that the North Korean Deputy Chief of the General Staff had overseen troops in russia.
