Night FPV Drones Hunt Down russian Invaders, Destroyed Another TOS-1 Solntsepyok Flamethrower System

Ukrainian defense forces have destroyed dozens of enemy TOS-1 Solntsepyok heavy flamethrower systems

The official Telegram channel of the 12th Special Forces Brigade Azov of the National Guard of Ukraine has released footage of the operators of the strike drone unit in action. The brigade fighters captured the enemy's TOS-1 Solntsepyok heavy flamethrower system near the village of Terny as it was heading towards a combat mission in the Kreminna area.

The FPV drone operator accurately hit the car, which was loaded with ammunition. As a result of the detonation, the enemy's heavy flamethrower system was destroyed along with its crew.

This destruction was made possible thanks to the fundraisers for night drones. "More such drones mean more destroyed russian artillery systems," the Azov Brigade emphasized.

According to Oryx portal data, over two dozen enemy Solntsepyok heavy flamethrower systems have been destroyed since February 2022.

Earlier, Defense Express reported that Ukraine is already successfully testing FPV drones with the so-called machine vision, meaning automatic target acquisition at the final stage of flight, which can operate in conditions of enemy electronic warfare.

At the same time, in russia, a very strange defense against FPV drones has been devised, involving welding metal rods "antennas" onto armor, supposedly causing the premature detonation of the drone's ammunition.
