The Norwegian government noted that its opening was directly related to Ukraine's needs. It was also clarified that this line will increase the production of 155-mm artillery and 120-mm tank ammunition, as well as engines for AIM-120 AMRAAM missiles.

It is not reported what exactly will be produced on the new line. But it seems that it is not about final production, but about gunpowder. It is necessary not only for ammunition production, but also for solid-propellant rocket.

It is also known when this new production line is to start operating. In any case, it will be no later than the end of 2026. However, the Norwegian government emphasized that the goal is to launch it earlier.

Earlier Defense Express reported that Britain had sent more AS90 artillery to Ukraine.
