The russia-Ukraine war in the Black Sea has become an engine for military progress

Now, most operations are performed by drones, and their number will be increased in the future. This was stated at the Black Sea Security Forum by Colonel of the Ukrainian Navy Mykhailo Tretyak.

"Big ships will still have a place in all fleets. But they will gradually be supplanted by drones. Now we are really on the threshold of drone warfare, where drones will be fighting each other," Ukrainian military stated.

The military noted that the main advantage of using drones is the preservation of life. After all, if the drone is destroyed, the human's life will be safe. Ukrainian military gained an advantage in the Black Sea due to a technological breakthrough during the war.

"Each drone mission that takes place at sea is a new challenge where the enemy has no way to get their ships out of bases. Every time we have to invent new plans and routes. The enemy does not want to surrender, but it will have to," Mykhailo Tretyak added.

Earlier Defense Express reported about the reason why russia had relocated missile-carrying submarines to Crimea.
