The Ministry of Defence of the russian federation constantly reports about shooting down GMLRS rockets for the M142 Himars MLRS by its anti-aircraft missile systems. But despite these statements, there have been very few videos of russian air defense systems operating against these types of targets.
Now a high quality video has appeared showing the operation of the S-400 SAM system on GMLRS rockets. In addition, a russian occupier also talks about the use of Pantsir self-propelled anti-aircraft weapon off-screen.

The video was filmed by russian occupier who was next to the 96L6E all-altitude target designation radar. To destroy these rockets, which were most likely up to six, russians launched about 10 surface-to-air missiles.
But despite the joyful shouts of russian occupiers that a missile was shot down, the video ends with several explosions at the positions of the S-400 system. The occupier also complains that his legs were hit by shards again. This may mean that the situation is not new to him.
In the end, destroying the GMLRS rockets may be a trivial task for any anti-aircraft missile system, as it requires kinetic interception to achieve maximum efficiency.
This is what happens in Patriot PAC-3 MSE anti-aircraft missile. But the russian federation has not declared such a method of shooting down for S-400 system, but only close detonation.
Of course, this does not exclude the absolute impossibility of hitting the GMLRS rocket, but it does not mean that russian anti-aircraft missile systems will be effective against them. That is why the video shows a quite natural result - the damage of the S-400 SAM system.
At the same time, the most important component, which is the radar, was destroyed.
