Greece may strengthen Ukraine with self-propelled howitzers and a range of ammunition. The Greek government is considering an agreement with the Czech Republic under which the Czech side would acquire or exchange certain weapons and ammunition for equivalent supplies. The total value of weapons Greece is offering to Ukraine amounts to €199.4 million.
Although the Greek government usually refuses to supply certain types of weapons to Ukraine, the circumstances with this deal are somewhat different. According to Efsyn, the Council of the Chiefs of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff has acknowledged that these weapons are outdated and do not meet Greece 's operational needs.

However, a political decision is still needed for any sale of weapons to Ukraine through a third country, and the opposition has already signaled it may block it.
In addition, as the publication emphasizes, the Greek military is concerned that the weapons could be sold without purchasing and obtaining appropriate replacements.
This is a fairly extensive and numerous list of weapons. It includes 60 M110A2 self-propelled howitzers, along with 50,000 M106 HE rounds, 40,000 M650 HERA rounds with M188A1 propelling charges, 30,000 M404 ICM rounds, and 30,000 M509A1 DPICM rounds. In total, the shipment includes 150,000 rounds of ammunition.
It is also reported that unguided Hydra 70 and Zuni aircraft rockets could be transferred, but no quantities were provided.
At the same time, specific quantities were announced for the self-propelled howitzers and ammunition. For instance, a single 203 mm M110A2 self-propelled howitzer is priced at over €520,000, while one M106 HE round costs €830.
