Germany Updates Military Aid List for Ukraine: Gepard, Vector Drones, and Ammunition

On March 17, the German government updated its list of military aid to Ukraine, adding three Gepard self-propelled anti-aircraft guns, IRIS-T missiles, and various types of ammunition

The latest shipment includes 24 MRAP armored vehicles, ammunition for Leopard tanks, and Marder infantry fighting vehicles.

  • 10,000 rounds for Gepard systems
  • 5,000 rounds of 155mm ammunition
  • 2,000 rounds of 122mm ammunition
  • 50 VECTOR reconnaissance drones (total delivered: 549)
  • 30 Gereon RCS tracked drones
  • 30 drone detection systems

Additionally, Ukraine received two WISENT 1 armored mine-clearing vehicles, 100 portable demining systems, two mine trawls, and 8,000 rounds for 120mm mortars.

Other delivered equipment includes laser rangefinders, infrared binoculars, vehicles, assault rifles, and first aid kits.

Germany is also preparing new large-scale aid packages for Ukraine, expected in the first half of 2025, which will include air defense systems, tanks, and howitzers.
