A representative of the Ministry of Defense of Finland, as reported by Reuters, noted that the total cost of this aid package is 8.3 million euros, and a total of 92.3 million euros worth of weapons and ammunition have already been transferred.
Given the indication of the capabilities of the Ministry of Defense of Finland, these are weapons that have already been manufactured and are at the disposal. An important point is that the Finnish army is equipped with certain models of Soviet weapons.
In particular, Finland operates BMP-2 IFVs (110 units as of 2021 according to Military Balance), MT-LB (40 units), 122-mm D-30 howitzers (234 units) and 2S1 Gvozdika self-propelled guns (36 units) and 122- mm RM-70 MLRS (34 units).
