The report was issued in response to Alexei Smirnov, the acting Governor of russia's Kursk Oblast, who claimed that "about 28 settlements in the region are under enemy control."
According to Smirnov, the frontline is 12 kilometers long and 40 kilometers wide.

DeepState noted that, according to their estimates, "the Ukrainian Armed Forces control approximately 44 settlements, while the status of 10 more remains uncertain."
"The estimate is very conservative. Currently, the exact number is difficult to ascertain. There are villages where our soldiers have been photographed, yet we did not have control over them. This is why the estimate remains cautious," the statement said.
