He expressed this need on the social network X.
Faber pointed out that Germany has so far delivered only 5% of its Leopard 2 tanks and none of its Fuchs vehicles. He emphasized that Germany has ordered 123 Leopard 2 tanks and is considering acquiring more Fuchs vehicles, stating, “We can do more—especially since we have ordered 123 Leopard 2s and are about to decide on the Fuchs. Our support is crucial in the fight against Putin’s war of aggression.”

He also noted that Ukraine's recent success in the Kursk region should prompt further discussions about increasing the supply of these military assets.
Faber concluded that by providing additional military support, Germany could help establish a lasting peace in Europe. On August 8, he also stated that weapons provided to Kyiv, including German Leopard 2 tanks, become Ukrainian property and can be used at Ukraine's discretion, even in the Kursk region.
