Bulgaria doesn’t want to lose its defense capability because of the MiG-29 fighter supply

The Ministry of Defense of Bulgaria reported that the country hadn’t negotiated on the free MiG-29 fighter supply.

The Ministry noted that such decision would have led to decrease in the defense capability, contradicting the Bulgarian constitution and law.

However, Bulgaria did negotiate on “tripartite negotiations” about the available weapon systems and their replacement with new ones from allies without loosing defense capability.
