According to the publication, these are hundreds of British military instructors and engineers who will help rebuild the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the event of a pause in hostilities.

Prime Minister Keir Starmer also approved the use of Royal Air Force fighter jets to patrol Ukrainian skies together with allies to prevent violations of the ceasefire by russia.

The decision was made against the backdrop of talks between US President Donald Trump and russian dictator vladimir putin, before they began in Anchorage, Alaska, USA.
British Defense Minister John Healy has stressed that if British troops are attacked in Ukraine, they will retaliate. This will significantly strengthen London's involvement in supporting Kyiv as part of the "Coalition of the Determined" initiative, on which British and European allies have been working for several months.

It should also be recalled that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky previously proposed to the United States a mechanism for accelerating the provision of military assistance to Ukraine, which would allow it to receive weapons worth $30 billion by 2026.
According to the head of state, the United States has already approved military support packages of $15 billion for 2025 and 2026. However, thanks to the launch of the Reconstruction Investment Fund, these funds can be attracted earlier - as early as 2025.
