russians say this drone is being actively supplied to special forces and Rosgvardia

State media of the russian federation issued reports about a so-called "device for non-stop drone mid-flight power supply" made by a little-known Karneev Systems company that specializes in reselling drones, cameras, and other components.

The reported systems are intended for "patrolling facilities, control over the situation during mass gatherings" and in combat conditions, for example, to launch relay drones with signal repeater modules and thus increase the operational range of other UAVs or assist them in conditions of EW interference. Moreover, as noted, the supply of russian units continues "at full throttle," the special forces and gendarmes from Rosgvardia were already using them.

The system is said to consist of an on-ground generator, a wire 100 meters long with a weight of 2 kg, and a connector. Together they provide a copter with the energy to work non-stop. The system appears on the manufacturer's website under the name SAFE-T 2.

Be it a mistake by russian propagandists of intentional misinformation, a quick search reveals the true developer and distributor of the SAFE-T 2, and it turns out to be the American Elistair company.

It raises a serious question, how come US products could resurface in russia. And not only the power generators but the Elistair Orion drones by this company are sold to russia, too. These are present at the russian Karneev store as well.

Important to note, the US company positions its drone precisely as a military-use product.

The issue here is how long will it take for the United States authorities to shut the scheme down, disrupting the supplies. At the same time, this situation once again shows the "original approach" by russian manufacturers for the development of their "own" high-tech.
