Another wave of russian air attacks on Ukraine took place on December 31 and overnight January 1. According to the new, detailed information, the attack included 35 missile strikes and 45 Shahed-136/131 drones.
There is currently no information on the downed cruise missiles but the Air Force of Ukraine and the General Staff of AFU report all the kamikaze drones shot down.

As Defense Express earlier reported, such a result was achieved partly because of the active usage of the American NASAMS air defense system. Air Force spokesman even said the rate of these systems firing was so high soldiers barely had time to reload them and "fired from it as if from artillery".
At the same time, intelligence services of Ukraine detected a decrease in the usage of missiles in a single massive attack – so that they "keep the imitation of the intensity of these missile attacks", says the Chief of Defense Intelligence of Ukraine.
