On October 15, it became known that a so-called Special Buryat Battalion manned by North Korean citizens was being formed on the base of the 11th Separate Air Assault Brigade of the russian federation’s occupying forces.

It is noted that the estimated number of personnel is up to 3000 people. The process of supplying the battalion with small arms and ammunition is underway. It is likely that the battalion may be involved in combat missions near the town of Sudzha and Kursk in the russian federation.

Earlier Defense Express reported that Ukrainian partisans had spotted North Korean soldiers establishing training ground near Mariupol.
