Ukraine’s fleet is also preparing to receive other ships and boats to protect the Black Sea waters

The Turkish shipbuilding company STM continues the construction of the Ada project corvette for the Ukrainian Naval Forces. The Commander of the Navy, vice admiral Oleksiy Neizhpapa, told about this in an interview with the ArmyInform news agency.

The assembling of this corvette began back in September 2021. Neizhpapa did not reveal the terms when the construction of this ship is completed.

In his interview, the Commander of the Navy also indicated that "this year we (the Ukrainian Naval Forces - ed.) will have several boats for the newly created river division, as well as ships and boats to perform tasks in the Black Sea." It is quite likely that here Neizhpapa meant in particular the supply of minesweepers under the British Sundown project.

Moreover, in one of his recent addresses, the Minister of Defense Oleksiy Reznikov noted that the servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are already mastering the same Sundown-type mine countermeasures ships.
