That is according to Polish Defense Minister Mariusz Blaszczak.
"Abrams tanks, on which soldiers of the Polish Army (Armed Forces of the Republic of Poland - ed.) will be trained, are already in Poland. We will be ready when the first of the 250 most modern tanks we have ordered become available. Poland will have modern powerful forces to deter the aggressor in an emergency," posted Polish Defense Minister on Twitter, Frontnews.EU informs.

According to the press service of the Polish Armed Forces, the contract for the purchase of to purchase 250 M1A2 Abrams SEP V3 tanks with associated equipment, as well as a training complex and ammunition for the Polish Armed Forces was signed on April 5, 2022. The Abrams will be delivered to units located in eastern Poland, on NATO's eastern flank. Deliveries are scheduled to be completed in 2026.
Poland has recently handed over a batch of 240 Т-72М1, as well as Т-72М1R tanks, to Ukraine.
