Federal Defense Minister Christine Lambrecht sees little further opportunity to send Ukraine weapons from the Bundeswehr stockpiles.
"The possibilities of the Bundeswehr are exhausted," Ms Lambrecht said, speaking on German public radio Deutschlandfunk. "We are exploring what other options there are." Accordingly, talks are now underway in the federal government about buying weapons for Ukraine.

Germany has sent 1,000 anti-tank weapons and 500 Stinger anti-aircraft defense systems to Ukraine, according to publicly available reports.
