As a reminder, Col. Biletskyi said this operation led to liberation of the entire western bank of the Siverskyi Donets-Donbas Channel in the eastern part of the country.
Ukrainian army Major Maksym Zhorin revealed some more new details about this operation: he said in just one day troops of the 3rd Brigade seized 1 km of trenches and cleared them off the remaining russians.
According to Zhorin, it was a "difficult operation with very tough trench combats." The forces of the russian 57th Brigade were fighting off hard, the fire contact was sometimes almost up close – at a distance of 1-2 meters.
The result is almost all personnel of the russian 3rd Battalion of the 57th Motor Rifle Brigade either killed, wounded, or taken captive.
Should be reminded, the official statement by Deputy Minister of Defense Hanna Maliar said yesterday, on June 24, Ukrainian forces launched an offensive near Bakhmut and nearby settlements.
