Volodymyr Zelenskyy listened to the report of the brigade commander, Lt. Col. Oleksiy Trubnikov, about the operational situation on this part of the front and interaction with adjacent units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

The brigade commander told the president about the experience of using drones of various types in in the Kupyansk direction as well as about the specifics of combating russian drones with the help of electronic warfare systems. Separately, they talked about providing units with equipment, ammunition, etc.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy also spoke with the military and awarded defenders who distinguished themselves during the defense of Ukraine's independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity.
"I am glad to be here today - to see you, to congratulate you, to be grateful from all Ukrainians, from all of Ukraine for the fact that you do such a great job every day, for the fact that you protect the state, our families, independence, our sovereignty. Confident in you. I wish you good health, take care of yourself and your brothers. It is very important. I wish you all victory," the President of Ukraine said.

At the end of the summer of 2023, the russian army intensified its offensive in the Kupyansk direction, which is being held by the Defense Forces of Ukraine. As of the beginning of February, about 40,000 russian troops, more than 500 tanks and 650 armored fighting vehicles are concentrated in the Kupyansk direction, the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported earlier.
