The delegation of the Chief of the General Staff of the Czech Armed Forces, led by the Chief of the General Staff of the Czech Armed Forces, Major General Karel Řehka, made an official visit to Ukraine

That’s according to the statement of General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on its official page on Facebook.

Meeting his Czech counterpart, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Valerii Zaluzhnyi, noted that the arrival of dear friend Karel Řehka in Ukraine at this difficult time for Ukraine is evidence of systemic support and solidarity in the war against the russian federation.

"I appreciate the involvement and assistance of the Czech Republic, the effective support of the military, the high level of our military cooperation, as well as the hospitality with which the Czech people met the refugees from Ukraine," Valerii Zaluzhnyi emphasized.

During the visit, the delegation of the Czech Armed Forces was familiarized with the security situation in Ukraine, the composition and number of groups of the russian federation both in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine and in the territory of the russian federation along the state border of Ukraine and the territory of neighbouring states, the nature of the enemy's actions and directions of concentration, its losses in personnel and equipment, revealed facts of the enemy's violation of the rules of warfare and crimes against humanity.

In addition, the assessment of the likely nature of the enemy's actions in the future, the security situation on the Ukrainian-belarusian border, the development trends of the military-strategic situation in Eastern Europe and the Black Sea-Azov region were discussed.

The delegation of the Armed Forces of the Czech Republic visited the places where war crimes were committed by the Russian occupiers, including the hero cities of Irpin, Hostomel, Chernihiv and Kharkiv.

Accompanied by Brigadier General Hennadiy Shapoval, the delegation of the Armed Forces of the Czech Republic, headed by the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Czech Republic, Major General Karel Řehka, visited the city of Irpin, where the delegation was met by the Secretary of the Irpin City Council, Deputy Anzhela Makeeva, who in a substantive conversation about the restoration of the city thanked for support of Ukraine, because the Czech Republic took in our people, including the people of Irpin, who were forced to flee from the war.

Also, together with the officers of the Operational command "North", the military of the partner countries visited the places where war crimes were committed by the Russian Federation in Chernihiv Oblast. In particular, they saw the destroyed stadium, Bobrovytsia microdistrict, etc. In addition, the foreign colleagues got acquainted with the security situation in the region and with the organization of countering the armed aggression of the russian federation by units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The deputy commander of the forces of the Operational Command "Northh", Brigadier General Dmytro Krasylnykov, noted that from the very beginning of the full-scale invasion of russia, the Armed Forces of Ukraine felt the help of the Czech Republic.
