The Voronezh family of over-the-horizon radar systems is the foundation of the russian early warning system against strategic missile strikes

After the successful strike on the Voronezh-DM OTH radar in Armavir, russia, the question arises, if there are other similar radar systems within the reach of Ukrainian explosive drones.

Although the one in Armavir was the closest, located 430 km from the current frontline, the next in line is not too far either, just 450 km in a straight line. However, there's a problem: it is in the Kaliningrad Region of russia, the enclave in the middle of the Baltic states, so the drone flight route would stretch across Poland's airspace. This radar is on the territory of the Dunayevka airfield, and it's responsible for surveillance over the sector from the Northern Atlantic to Italy.

Moving on to the ones that don't require entering the territory of countries other than russia, the third Voronezh-type radar would be 900 km away from the Ukrainian border, in Lekhtusi, near St. Petersburg.

This one, though, belongs to the Voronezh-M type, meaning it operates with radio waves in the meter range, unlike the two mentioned earlier which are of the Voronezh-DM kind, operating in the decimeter frequencies. Its area of responsibility is the North Sea and Northern Atlantic with missile launch areas for NATO strategic submarines.

Almost on the edge of the farthest point where Ukrainian drones have ever reached (as far as evidenced by recorded instances) at 1,500 km from Ukraine is another Voronezh-M radar, near the city of Orsk, Orenburg Region of russia. This one is looking towards China.

If we imagine all of those are incapacitated, the only one that will remain facing Europe is the Volga radar in belarus. It operates in the decimeter range and is located near Hantsavichy town. It is roughly 110 km from the Ukrainian border.

This station was built back in the USSR times but was commissioned only in 2003, it is leased long-term ro the russian federation, in other words, a strike at this facility is a legitimate strike on russia.
