In today's morning briefing, the General Staff of Ukraine noted the following interesting detail: throughout the entire war, russia used already 500 S-300 anti-aircraft missiles for attacks on Ukraine, some of which did not reach the target. The shortage of operational-tactical missiles forced the occupants to switch to the use of the S-300.
According to estimates of the General Staff of Ukraine, russia has several thousand anti-aircraft missiles for the S-300 in stock. Most of them, however, are unusable. This message can be interpreted as follows: the General Staff of Ukraine hints that russians may soon run out of even the S-300 missiles for ground strikes against Ukraine. Moreover, such a trend can already be confirmed by examples from open sources.

So far, the most massive use of missiles of the S-300 complex to shell Mykolaiv took place on August 29. Then russians fired as many as 16 rockets, of which 12 reached Mykolaiv.
If we look at the summary of the head of the Mykolayiv Regional Military Administration Vitaliy Kim for the past day, September 3, 2022, we will see that they decided to combine the S-300 missiles and "throw" cruise missiles from tactical aviation, because they feel a lack of missiles to maintain the intensity of shelling.
It is noted that on the day of September 3, russians launched an Kh-59 from the Su-35 fighter jet, the missile hit a private yard, and this was the first shooting of cruise missiles from enemy aircraft on Mykolaiv in a long time. And on the night of September 4, the occupiers conducted a massive shelling from the S-300, but the number of missiles fired is not specified.
On the same September 3, russians fired an Kh-31 missile from a Su-35 aircraft at one of the villages in the Mykolaiv Oblast. Although before that, they used the same S-300 for firing at such a "pistol distance".
