russian occupation forces are intensifying the use of civilian vehicles on the Ukrainian battlefield, including during assault operations. This trend is reflected in the rising number of destroyed civilian vehicles

Recently, several videos have appeared on social media showing various types of civilian cars and other vehicles adapted for combat and subsequently destroyed by Ukraine’s Defense Forces.

One particularly telling video was published by the Khortytsia Operational-Strategic Group. According to their report, russian forces deployed 18 motorcycles and 10 civilian cars in an attempt to assault the village of Bahatyr in Donetsk Oblast.

Notably, many of the vehicles were equipped with makeshift anti-drone cages, similar to those previously seen in social media images.

Ukrainian defenders inflicted heavy losses on the russian assault group: 15 motorcycles were destroyed and 9 cars damaged during the engagement.

In addition to cars and motorcycles, russian forces have also been using buses for combat operations. Footage released by Ukraine’s Bombus Group documented the destruction of one such bus in the battlezone.

Meanwhile, russian sources themselves have published footage of a vehicle modified with electronic warfare equipment to defend against drone strikes.
