The massacre that Hamas staged in Israel will have an impact on Ukraine in one way or another, despite the fact that the events are taking place 1.5 thousand kilometers away. It is quite possible that the impact of these events will be even greater than might be expected at first glance.
First of all, in this case, we are not talking about a single terrorist attack, but about a planned, coordinated and large-scale attack by militants, which resulted in dozens of victims in the first hours of the attack. At the same time, the victims were civilians who were shot by Hamas militants in towns near the Gaza Strip. This is evidenced by a number of videos circulating on the Internet.

In response, Israel has already launched a large-scale military operation - 'Operation Iron Swords', a call-up of reservists has been announced, and it is reported that airstrikes on Hamas targets have begun. Then everything will depend on what decision will be made regarding the nature and scope of the response. In any case, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu has already announced that this is "not an operation, not an escalation - it's a war."
But even war can follow different scenarios. The first option - Israel may announce the start of a full-scale ground operation, the goal of which may well be to eliminate any threat from the Gaza Strip in the long term. The second is to limit the deployment of units around the Gaza Strip in order to create a buffer and remotely target the militants.
Influence on the supply of weapons to Ukraine
But under both scenarios, there will be an impact on the supply of weapons to Ukraine. Although Israel does not transfer and even blocks the re-export of its weapons to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, it is known that ammunition from the warehouses of the US army in Israel was sent to Ukraine.
Now this source of ammunition will obviously be unavailable for Ukraine, for Israel will be very opposed and will make every effort to ensure that ammunition which it can use for its reserve needs remains at its disposal.
At the same time, events in Israel are unlikely to have any impact on the supply of weapons to Ukraine from other countries. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has all the necessary means to conduct a full-scale military operation in the Gaza Strip.
The situation when Israel will need additional weapons can arise only in the case of a protracted military operation - in fact, a full-scale war, which Israel will try to avoid by all means.
Ties of Hamas with the russian federation and Iran
But there is another extremely significant aspect, which is related to the fact that Hamas does not exist by itself. Palestinian terrorist organizations received significant support from the Kremlin, both in the form of training and the supply of weapons, even during the times of the USSR. The Kremlin continued this policy. And the meetings of the officials of Hamas and the russian federation took place at the official level. During this time, Hamas also received samples of russian weapons, such as, for example, the Kornet ATGM.
Also, guests in Moscow are not only Hamas, but also much more radical terrorist organizations, such as "Islamic Jihad". And these meetings also take place at the highest level.
Even more open support for Hamas and Palestinian terrorists is provided by Iran, which, according to the official statements of the Palestinians, consists of material, military and technical support.
Considering the fact that Hamas carried out a large-scale, planned and coordinated attack, the preparation for which was managed to be carried out covertly, it can be argued that it would hardly have happened without the participation of Iran and the russian federation.
In this situation, it is also necessary to pay attention to the fact that the ban on the re-export of weapons from Israel to Ukraine was quite possibly caused by a certain agreement with the russian federation. At least, this was written about by Western specialized media, noting that back in December 2021, Israel announced a ban on the re-export of Spike ATGMs to the Baltic countries, and this decision was due to the fact that Israel wants to "balance its relations with russia."
As recently as July, 2022, Defense Express predicted that this position of Israel would still lead to unfortunate consequences. Because an attempt to negotiate with terrorists through other terrorists cannot lead to anything good...
