russian forces have launched Geran-5 jet-powered missiles against the Ukrainian capital for the second consecutive day, according to Serhii Beskrestnov, an adviser to the President of Ukraine for defense technologies.
Serhii Beskrestnov, known as Flash, reported the latest use of the weapons on the evening of September 3. Russian forces are launching the Geran-5 from a distance of around 400 kilometers.

Ukrainian air defense systems have successfully intercepted the weapons, which Flash described as a positive development amid the continued russian use of the new system.
At the same time, he warned that the threat is likely to persist. Russia is producing Geran-5 system, continues to use it against Ukraine, and is apparently preparing to employ the weapon in further attacks.
The repeated launches against Kyiv indicate that Geran-5 system is becoming part of russia's aerial attack arsenal used against the capital.
