U.S. destroyers Porter, Donald Cook hold operation in Black Sea

U.S. Navy guided-missile destroyers Porter and Donald Cook have conducted a multi-domain maritime operation in the Black Sea, the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine has reported on Twitter.

"In the Black Sea USS Porter & USS Donald Cook conducted a multi-domain maritime operation with NATO AWACS & US Navy P-8A to further enhance interoperability between NATO Allies. Whether it's our ships or aircraft, we are here in the Black Sea in support of Bulgaria, Georgia, Turkey, Ukraine and Romania," the tweet reads.

USS Porter (DDG-78) entered the Black Sea on January 28. This is the second U.S. guided-missile destroyer to enter the Black Sea in the past few days. USS Donald Cook (DDG 75) entered the Black Sea on January 23.

The fleet oiler USNS Laramie (T-AO-203) entered the Black Sea on January 25 to provide ships with fuel and all necessary supplies so that they do not enter the ports.
